Curated Ceremony Collection - Blue with Snake Altar Cloth
Curated Ceremony Collection - Blue with Snake Altar Cloth
This thoughtfully curated Earth Ceremonial Collection includes:
A beautiful Shipibo Altar Cloth from the Peruvian Amazon
The Shipibo see and hear geometric patterns in nature and reproduce the designs in their weaving. They believe the patterns are healing on the mental, emotional, physical, and spiritual levels. Every design carries its own specific meaning to bring healing, wisdom, protection, or to attract abundance. These ‘artful prayers’ can be sung by the Shipibo because each design also functions as a musical score, called an Icaro. The design element and the Icaro operate cohesively to carry the power of the healing or blessing.Three Artisan Pottery Offering Bowls (two black and one white) made by Micah Thanhauser of Merry Farm Pottery for Organization of Nature Evolutionaries.
Micah describes his process, ”I enjoyed thinking, as I was making these, of the way they will come to be used. An object becomes sacred, I believe, not because of how it is made, but because of how it is used. Still, I think something of the maker's mind and heart is transmitted through to the final product. In this sense, the fairly simple act of making a bowl becomes an activity that encompasses my whole life.”A jar of Sacred Cornmeal
This Corn was grown, harvested, and hand-ground with prayers and ceremony by our very own, Jen Frey at Heart Springs Sanctuary. This Corn is from the Tz’utujil Mayan in Guatemala. Martín Prechtel writes about the Sacred connection between the Tz’utujil Mayan and this Corn in his book, The Unlikely Peace at Cuchumaquic.A Handmade Mugwort Smudge Stick from Mugwort Farm
