As I’ve sat with the Plants and my Guides and observed the threads I’ve noticed in our society, I have come to the conclusion that we are experiencing enormous challenges because we have the opportunity to shift two large patterns that have replayed for thousands and thousands of years.
During this time of great change and upheaval, everyone is needed. You are needed!
Our bodies are amazing. We only get to experience them for a very short amount of time. We owe it to one another to celebrate the incredible gifts of our bodies, their many shapes, colors, sizes, textures, the way they move, what they create, and how they change from day to day and year to year. Just imagine what this world would be like if we saw and honored the beauty of each person that we meet. And yes, I think every person has beauty, even the ones we find challenging.
We are intimately interconnected with Earth and our more-than-human kin. As we do to ourselves, we also do to Earth and vice versa. We cannot have a thriving Earth if our landscapes do not support life. Therefore, I am calling for a Revolution of Beauty.
As Earth’s changes are intensifying, we are being asked to unquestionably step into our potential. We can no longer play small. Our more-than-human relatives are showing up in very big ways, wanting to engage in co-creative partnership with us and wanting to help us re-member who we are. Therefore, it only makes sense that the HEARTransformation Apprenticeship would need to mirror these shifts.
I could feel my Love for Cedar so deeply. I also really felt how the Plants have our backs. They are there to support us in ways that we can only begin to imagine. It is a true blessing to witness and experience this.
I want to be clear, while my work insures that I interact with Plant Spirits frequently, their gifts are not shrouded in some deep mystery, only available to a select few. We all have the capability to communicate with them and receive their guidance and support. We simply need to remember that this is possible and take the time to connect.
If we want to live better lives, create a healthier future for all, or simply embrace who we are meant to be, it is imperative that we engage in Ancestral healing for our human Ancestors as well as the Ancestors of the Land in which we live. Here are six steps for honoring and healing our Ancestors.
I don’t claim to have all of the answers nor that I can solve all of life’s problems. I can however, share what has helped me. Engaging in co-creative partnership here at Heart Springs has given me so much hope and filled my days with a beauty I couldn’t have imagined. I’ve seen the Land heal and the Bird population grow. I read reports about missing Fireflies or Butterfly species reducing. And yet, here we have a light show each night and the Butterflies are so prolific. As I work with the other Beings of Heart Springs, I too experience healing. I learn so much more about myself, Nature, and the many possibilities for our future.
Over the last several weeks, I’ve noticed a pattern among my clients, myself, and my loved ones of being presented with big healing opportunities, I mean BIG. What happens to Earth, happens to us. What happens to us, happens to Earth, as well as one another. So just as the other Earth ecosystems are being challenged, so are we. Here are four Allies who are particularly suited to supporting us through these BIG healing opportunities.
Our more-than-human kin encourage us to be patient, have some fun (they say we take life too seriously), and remember that this is all temporary. Which also means that when we are experiencing those joyous moments, we need to drink in the bliss, storing it deeply in our cells, our bones for the inevitable dry times.
I was recently asked if I have hope for our future. I answered unequivocally “Yes!”

I owe my life to Plants.
This is a simple statement and yet, can you feel the power in it? The truth is that while Plants have been the cornerstone of my life since I was quite young, we all owe our lives to Plants. Plants make this amazing, wonderful, fantastic planet livable. Among many gifts, they provide the oxygen that we need to breathe. Have you ever pondered this miracle? Have you ever breathed with a Plant or truly recognized the connection between Plants and your life?
When I saw my clients struggling, I asked my Guides what I could do to offer support to the collective. I wondered what is needed and what is missing. The messages that I received is that people are overwhelmed and they need to slow down, but even more importantly they need time in Nature to rejuvenate and remember they are held and supported.
Years ago when I earnestly began my journey with the Plants, I began a relationship with the Celtic Goddess Brigid. She guided me along my path and helped me with my clients. Brigid is notorious for being loved and resilient especially in the face of the patriarchy. This year I have been thinking about Brigid, her gifts, and her lessons. Again, she feels like a fantastic guide to support us through these Earth changes.
I’ve spent the day with Maple finalizing preparations for our upcoming Maple Sacred Plant Initiation. Sitting in the Temple of Maple's branches, I am once again, completely humbled by and in awe of Maple’s generosity and support. Maple has been nourishing the people of this Land for generations upon generations, long before the colonists arrived. Even more than that, Maple reminds us of the sweetness of life during the darkest moments. This is something I think we all are in need of remembering.
